Forget Me Not Post #3- Connection to my Life
My next post I am going to do is going to relate to my life. In Forget Me Not, Willa's dad dies from getting stung by a jellyfish in the ocean. I am relating this to my life because when my family goes to the beaches in Cape Cod every summer, we always end up seeing jelly fishes. They always come out in August when the water is starting to get a little warmer. The thing is though that these jelly fishes are tiny and they don't have stingers. They can fit in the palm of your hand and they are incredibly slimy. They are clear, so you can see right through them. So since they don't sting you, Willa's dad must have been swimming really far out to have a jelly fish come and sting you. All because of her dad dyeing from a jelly fish, Willa is afraid to go into the ocean and swim.

This book sounds sad. :( It sucks that b/c of what happened to her dad, she is afraid of swimming in the ocean. What a bummer, and I hope you don;t die from a jellyfish. you guys have a lot in common (you and the jellyfish), you're both slimy!
